Introducing Helmline
22 October 2026 · Draven Xanatos
Most EVE intel tools we've used are old. They work, mostly, but they're clunky, slow to load and hard to read in the middle of a fight. Helmline started as a question: what would an intel tool look like if it were built today, for the way people actually fly?
It's free, it runs in your browser, and you log in with your EVE account. Here's what's live so far.
Farsight: intel
- Pilot lookup. Paste a name from local and get a one-glance threat card: risk score with reasons, what they fly, whether they bring cynos or tackle, and how recently they've been active.
- Kill feed. Kills within a few jumps of your characters, refreshed every minute, coloured by your own standings so you can see friend from foe at a glance.
- Gate camps. Repeated kills on the same gate by the same pilots, flagged as active or recent.
- Proximity alerts. A pop-up and optional chime when something dies close to you.
- Intel map. Your region, drawn from CCP's own map layout, with kill heat, camps and your characters on it.
- Route scout. Plan a route and see every jump marked clear, caution or danger before you undock. One click can set it in your autopilot.
Fitting Studio (beta)
A fitting tool that tries to be easier to use than the ones we grew up with:
- CPU, powergrid and full stats (damage, tank, capacitor, speed) as you build, using your own skills.
- Modules you can't use yet are greyed out, with the skill you're missing and how long it takes to train.
- Make it fit: when a fit is over CPU or powergrid, it suggests the smallest swaps that get you under.
- An ammo advisor that shows which ammo does the most damage at the range you fight at, and drones by target.
- Import from EVE or EFT, and send finished fits straight back to your in-game fittings.
How we handle your data
Intel tools can turn into intel sources about their own users. We work hard to avoid that:
- What your alliance looks up stays inside your alliance. Other alliances can't see it, even indirectly.
- We don't track named pilots over time. We built a "watch this pilot" feature early on, then removed it because it came too close to tracking players.
- Location and skills are only read when a feature needs them, and you approve each permission on CCP's own login page.

What's next
You can see the roadmap in the app under Help & feedback → Planned. Up next: alerts from your intel channels, a saved fit library, and research into the fits people actually fly, taken from killmails.
Tell us what to build
Under Help & feedback → Ideas you can suggest a feature and vote for other people's. The most-voted ideas shape what we build next, and we'll write about what ships here.
Fly safe. o7
Tell us what you think, or vote on what's next: open Nouscio and go to Help & feedback → Ideas.
